Year 11 Raising Achievement Evening

Year 11 Raising Achievement Evening

Our Year 11 Raising Achievement Evening saw students and parents come together for an informative and inspiring event focused on preparing for success in this summer's GCSE examinations.

The evening began with a series of presentations designed to equip students and families with the knowledge and strategies needed to make the most of the year ahead. Students and parents heard from Principal Mr Comerford, who outlined the importance of consistent effort, attendance and effective study habits. They were also treated to subject-specific guidance from Mr Amfo (Mathematics), Mr Horton (English) and Ms Bamberry (Science), who shared expert revision techniques, exam preparation strategies and practical advice for achieving success in their subjects.

Following the presentations, families had the opportunity to meet with Heads of Department from across the academy, discuss expectations for the year ahead and learn more about the support available. Students left equipped with an impressive range of resources, including revision guides, textbooks, flashcards, specifications, knowledge organisers and subject-specific materials, all provided courtesy of the school to ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed.

The evening was a fantastic example of the partnership between home and school, with students, parents and staff united in a shared commitment to achieving the very best outcomes. We look forward to seeing our Year 11 students make the most of these resources and opportunities as they work towards a successful summer of GCSE results.
