2020 Has Been Another Successful Year Of Exam Results For

Harris Academy South Norwood.

 

Harris Academy South Norwood 20-21

In an unprecedented year, there were some huge successes at the Academy. More than 80% of our cohort went to University with Christine going to Cambridge to study Political, Social and Human sciences. Despite the huge challenges presented by the pandemic and by the cancellation of exams, our students stood tall, achieved some brilliant grades and secured top destinations.  Please find a selection of these below:

 

Year 13:

  • Remeushan received an A* in Biology, an A* in Chemistry and an A* in Mathematics. Now studying Biomedical Science at St Georges.
  • Benjamin received an A in Computing, an A* in Maths and an A in Physics. Now studying Economics and Maths at Bath.
  • Joshua received an A* in Fine Art, an A in Physics and an A in Mathematics.
  • Owen received an A in Economics, an A* in History and an A in Mathematics. Now studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Durham
  • Peter received an A in Business Studies, an A* in Mathematics and an A in Economics. Now studying Management at LSE.
  • Christine received an A in Economics, an A in Politics and an A* in Spanish. Now studying Human, Social and Political Sciences at Cambridge.
  • Hamza received an A in Economics, an A in English Literature and an A in History. Now studying History, Politics and Economics at UCL.
  • Samuel received an A in Accounting, an A in Economics and an A in Spanish. Now studying Business, Economics and Finance at Loughborough.

  • Louise received 9 grade 9's (including English and Triple Science).
  • Charles received 8 grade 9's (including English, Maths and Triple Science).
  • Daniel received 7 grade 9's (including English and Maths) and 2 grade 8's.
  • Rizwan received 6 grade 9's (including English and Triple Science) and 3 grade 8's (including Maths).
  • Adeena received 6 grade 9's (including English, Maths and Triple Science), 3 grade 8's and 1 grade 7.
  • Moyosoreoluwa received 5 grade 9's (including Maths and Triple Science) and 5 grade 8's (including English).
  • William received 4 grade 9's (including English and Maths) and 6 grade 8's.

  • 26.64% of students received a GCSE grade of 7+ English Literature
  • 19.16% of students received a GCSE grade of 7+ Maths
  • 84% of students received a GCSE grade of 4+ in English
  • 65% of students received a GCSE grade of 4+ Maths
  • 100% of students received a GCSE grade 4+ in Chemistry, physics and biology.
  • 37% of students received a GCSE grade of 7+ in mandarin
  • 27% of students received a GCSE grade of 7+ in computing
  • 17.06% of students studied Triple Science
