Working in partnership with Chartwell Harris Academy South Norwood is committed to providing a range of nutritious and affordable meals on a daily basis. On this page you can find information about what is available and what you can expect to pay.

Break Times: There are a range of snacks and drinks available from the canteen at break times both hot and cold. Please see the full tariff by clicking on the quick link to the left of the page.

Lunch times: There are always three main courses on the lunch time menu as well as a range of sandwiches and a salad bar. The daily Meal Deal can be bought for a cost of £2.20 and includes the main meal or vegetarian option plus a small drink or a pudding. For more information about the menus please see an example menu posted at the bottom of this page.

Free School Meals

Free school meals are available for those eligible. If you think that you may be entitled to Free School Meals please read the section below and then download your application form

Evidence required:

If you or your partner receives Income Support or Income Based Job Seekers Allowance please submit an Allowance Book, Giro or letters from the DSS detailing your benefit.

If you or your partner receive Child Tax Credit, do not receive Working Tax Credit, and have an annual income (as assessed by the Inland Revenue) of less that £16,190 (please note that this may be subject to change), please submit your Tax Credit Award Notice (Form TC602).

If you or your partner receives Guaranteed Pension Credit, please submit your pension credit award notice.

Please ensure that you provide all necessary pages of the proof of entitlement.

All information you provide will be treated as confidential. We reserve the right to seek additional information if necessary. 

We cannot supply free meals until evidence of entitlement has been received.

Proof of benefit or income must be brought or sent to the Harris Academy South Norwood Reception with this application. These will be returned to you. Please note that copies will not be accepted.
