They welcomed us, they enjoyed what we gave them and then they took it for their own! Shout out to all of the young people that gave up two hours to make Shakespeare ours 👊🏿 especially the young lady that got up to spit some bars with !

All of those young Black and Asian kids saw themselves on stage, at their school, and from the reactions and the enthusiasm at the end, I know what we did had meaning. Imagine the fire alarm went off during the second show and they said "let us burn" 😂

We adored it

Thank you so much for coming. The energy of the two performances has remained with us. Bits of Birnam Wood still creaking in wind!

Last Friday we had the last show and i've been thinking about it all week! The energy, the love and the pride bursting out of all of those young people is why we made the show.

Who would ever have imagined this many South London state school kids going to Oxbridge three decades ago under ILEA. Thousands of lives changed by Lord Harris' energy and drive and the academy system... https://t.co/nZOGoG0u6l

Uniform Information

At Harris South Norwood, students are expected to be of smart and sensible appearance.

Please note a coat is a black outdoor coat. No denim. No logos. Cardigans, jumpers, sweatshirts, tracksuit tops, waistcoats, hooded tops are not to be worn as coats. No non black belts or designer/decorative belts.

The requirement for adherence to the Academy Uniform is consistently reinforced by all staff, in and out of lessons. Pastoral Leaders ensure that, when students enter the Academy grounds, they are in proper uniform. Form tutors and Coordinators also work with students and encourage/reward them for the standard of their uniform. Our high expectations are also reinforced at Hub Assemblies by the Academy Leadership.

The guide below outlines our expectations in terms of uniform. Any students who break the uniform requirements will be sent home after contacting parents so they can correct their uniform.
