Intervention strategy

Every year 11 receives 3-4 interventions a week in groups of 6-16 students. They are grouped according to which of their subjects are the greatest priorities and how well they did in their first mock. Their teachers have been looking at how well they did in each question and for most of their subjects they will be completing content in intervention that they did less well on or have gaps to fill.

Every night there are extra English, maths and science sessions for students who wish to go to these. There are also additional morning sessions in biology, chemistry and physics, and in history and geography for students who are aiming for a 7-9.

Some students also attend extra tutoring in key subjects.
