Why study science?
How does your mobile phone work? What keeps the Moon in the sky? Where will Earth’s seven billion inhabitants get their food and energy in the future? In your next three years learning Science at HASN you will develop the thinking skills needed to answer these questions, and more. Science is the most fundamental subject there is, covering every aspect of our lives whether we realize it or not. You will be part of the revolution in understanding why things are the way they are.
At HASN you can study up to 3 GCSEs in Science.
You will either study Triple Science: Biology , Chemistry and Physics (3 full GCSEs or Science A and Additional Sciences (2 full GCSE’s with Units in Biology Chemistry and Physics).
Future Pathways
An understanding of science is needed for many careers :
Medicine, nursing, dentistry, telecommunication, car manufacturing, engineering, electrician, building, plumbing, veterinary science, teaching, hair and beauty, marine biology, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, forensic science, food science and many more!
