Prom 2017

Date/Timings

Date: Friday 30th June 2017

Venue:

Speroni’s Resturant,  Crystal Palace Football Club
Selhurst Park Stadium
Whitehorse Lane
London
SE25 6PU

Time: 7pm-12pm

  • Dress code: Formal
  • Boys: suits (tie optional) or tuxedos / no trainers
  • Girls: long or short dresses/cocktail dresses (hemline no shorter than 3’’ above the knee)

Travel Arrangements

It is expected that students will make their own way to and from Selhurst Park. It is customary for them to do group bookings of limos which drop them off outside the Venue via the Holmesdale road entrance. Should parents/carers wish to drive their son/daughter to the Prom, there is plenty of parking area for drop off.

Supervision

Students will be supervised by both teaching staff from the Academy and professional security staff. There is a strict no alcohol policy – students will have no access to any alcohol during the Prom. Please note that we may carry out random searches to ensure all students comply with this rule and to promote the health and safety of all students at the Prom.

Entry Admission

Once payment has been made, Students will receive a ticket for the Prom which will be numbered, Access to the Venue will be strictly dependent on presenting their ticket at the door. If they do not have a ticket they will not be able to enter the venue.

Photos

During the prom, photos will be taken by a professional photographer who will take portraits of individual students or pairs, using professional equipment.

All photos will be placed in a secure file-sharing website and parents will be sent a link and a password allowing them to access the Prom photos. In this area, you will be able to choose which photos you want and transfer them onto a USB. Boots have photo machine facilities that allow you to print from a USB and photos are printed on photographic paper allowing for the best quality. In particular, Boots in Croydon supply Self Service Instant Photo Development using a USB; their sizes are as follows and printing prices range from approximately 0.39p - £4.00 depending on sizes [small (6 x 4 ") , large (8 x 6 ") and x large (10 x 8)].

This arrangement means that students only print the photos they want but, most importantly, save money as usually companies charge about £20 for three photos.
