Under a Foreign Sky - Drama trip

As part of the enrichment programme, students who have chosen Drama are currently in rehearsals for a performance of the play Fugee by Abi Morgan. This play explores the struggles of Kojo, a young refugee arriving in England. To help them prepare for the performance the students, Ms Fennell, Ms Kenna and Ms Watkins went to see a new play specially designed for young people called Under a Foreign Sky which explores similar issues. The students were also joined by year 9s studying Drama for GCSE. Lauren Rees-Blackstone, one of the GCSE students, said as she left the theatre “The acting was really good Miss - the actress was actually crying!” All were treated to some excellent acting and very interesting performance techniques which we are sure will help everyone put on a fantastic show!
