Making The Wizard of Oz
Develop and perform the story of The Wizard of Oz
Do you have a passion for theatre and performing? Do you enjoy working with younger children?
We offer you the opportunity to explore the story of The Wizard of Oz and spend Wednesday afternoon watching a musical performance of this story in the best seats at a West End theatre. You will then work with teachers and other students over the next two days to prepare a performance with a message to perform to children from a local Primary School.
What you need to bring?
Day 1 - Students need to wear full Academy uniform on the afternoon trip as it takes place during the academy day. They may want to bring something extra to eat on the trip as we may not be back until about 7pm.
Day 2 - Nothing - except lots of creative ideas!
Day 3 - A costume to wear in the performance
This project is great if you are interested in:
Watching live theatre, performing - acting and singing, script writing, working with younger children.
