Tackle the Business of Football
Find out what it really takes to run a football club
Alex Ferguson, Robert Mancini, Arsene Wenger make managing a football club look easy, right? The reality is there is more to it than selecting your best eleven players on a Saturday. There are many other people involved in the club's success. You will learn the role of a chairman, marketing/sales team and the finance department.
Day 1
Visit Chelsea Football Club where we will learn about how the club is run on a day-to-day basis. How do they make their money now that Ambramovich isn't willing to spend as much of his own cash?
Full tour of the club included!
Day 2
Using a virtual football program you will be given the chance to transform an ailing professional football club into a winning team and a successful business organisation. Experience the highs and lows of life as the chairman of a top flight football club.
In a business like football there is sometimes a fine line between winning and losing! You will learn how to be successful as a club chairman and will showcase what you have learnt against other groups - prizes to be won!
You will need to bring?
Usual school equipment - Pen, Pencil, Ruler and colouring pens. Football magazine and programmes.
Full Academy uniform to be worn on both days of the experience.
